I bought the ls4p controller
And this strip
WS2812B Led Lights DC5V WS2812 RGB Led Strip Light Individually Addressable Smart Pixels Magic Light Black White PCB IP30 65 67
I realised that because the strip is 5m long I would need a separate PSU. I bought this
5V 20A 100W Power Supply,AC110/220V to DC5V Universal Regulated Switching Power Converter Transformer for LED Strip Light,Probe Signal Lamp
I based this on the calculation of 5m x 65 = 325 LEDs,beach needing 0.3w x 325 = 97.5w
However when I fire up, only the first led lights up. It's green and it stays green. Nothing I do on the controller changes anything. I've tried every possible setting...tweaking the number of LEDs, changing the colour order, skipping LEDs etc etc. it's just green on the first led and all the others are off.
I've changed every setting for gpio but it makes no difference.
I have wired the positive and negative from the PSU to the strip, and data from the controller.
I tried connect the data wire further up the strip and each LED are a touch causes it to light up that led and each led to touch lights up but I cannot get the controller to change the color of the LEDs coz effects or anything.
Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong?
However, it is not enough to supply the strip with voltage. The controller also needs voltage and all GNDs must be connected to each other. And the correct GPIO must also be set. At a length of 5 meters, the strip should also be fed in at the end.
Button(GPIO-0)
Relay(GPIO-12)
Data(GPIO-1)
DCLK(GPIO-3)
If there are two power supplies, you need to connect the GND of the two power supplies together
