this config wrong (twice) or if there is another issue here? I have connected 2 different WS2812B strips to a new LS-4P controller and powered with a 12v 8a 96w PSU. Both strips popped as soon as I power the unit. I could hear them pop and smell burning.
The first strip was a 1m 144/m strip. I had this set to 144 LED's in WLED Max Current 7000mA, LED voltage was default 5V and Enable automatic brightness limiter was turned on.
The second strip was 1m 60/m strip. Again I set WLED to 60 LED's but dropped the max current to 3500mA as I as afraid of what happened before. The same result, pops and burning.
Have I done something wrong here? From what I can tell no matter what setting the LS-4P seems to be outputting too much current.
The power supply voltage of WS2812B is 5V, you are using the wrong power supply, you should use 5V power supply, not 12V
