I'm looking to configure my LS-5P-HK to work with an RGB strip, instead of a RGBW strip. It looks like there may be commands to do that according to the firmware docs, but I can't find a way to send commands to the device. Perhaps I will have to compile custom firmware. but I don't want to loose the HomeKit compatibility!

Sorry i cannot help you. How did you change it to tasmota?
I installed the Tasmota firmware, but of course lost the HomeKit function. in my current install, I can not run any other software like HomeBridge etc. so this is quite disappointing.
